What people say about working for us in Rail, Wind Energy and Aviation.
I have been working for Boston Energy for six months, I am currently part of a team carrying out fire modifications on Siemens Gamesa turbines around the country, working with a diverse and interesting team from Siemens Gamesa. Boston have helped me have an easy transition from the armed forces by providing me with all the training required to get started on and offshore on wind turbines. Work, travel, and accommodation is made simple and stress free with the help of the very attentive staff in the office, all I have to do is turn up and work. I would highly recommend working for Boston Energy, especially to those transitioning from the armed forces or anyone new to the industry with a technical background.
Adam -Turbine Technician
I’ve really enjoyed working for Boston Energy, I’ve worked with the company for 8 months now and the support they have given me is fantastic. They have provided me with all training course I needed to get me up to Level 4, I am now working on my first project with them and it’s great.
Joshua -Turbine Technician
Boston Energy have opened a door into the wind industry for me which seemed a daunting task when I started down this route. I had heard about Boston Energy through the career transition partnership scheme which helps military personnel transition in to civilian work and life. From the moment I had my first interview I knew Boston Energy was the company I wanted to work for as they held great values such as teamwork and loyalty. These values were important as this was what I was used to in the Royal Marines. Boston Energy provided me with GWO, BTT, SGTT training amongst many other courses. I have been working for Boston Energy now for 6 months and everything is going well as I expected and I have had full support throughout. I highly recommend Boston Energy to any Wind Turbine Technician.
Dean -Turbine Technician
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working for Boston Energy, completing almost 6 years with the company. They provided me with all the training necessary to complete my transition from the Royal Air Force and start a new career within the Wind Industry. Throughout my time I have worked on a number of Offshore Wind Farms across UK and Europe including London Array, Teesside, Sheringham Shoal, Burbo Bank Extension, Walney Extension, Belfast Harbour, Humber Gateway, Karehamn, North Wind, and Luchterduinen Offshore Wind Farms. Working for different WTG suppliers on behalf of Boston Energy has enabled me to progress as a technician enabling me to Lead Teams of technicians, and for the past 12 months work as a Project Supervisor working with MHI Vestas Special Projects. I can highly recommend Boston Energy to other technicians and fully support their recruitment of Ex-Military personnel.
Shane -Offshore Supervisor
I’ve really enjoyed working for Boston Energy, I started working for the company in 2015 straight after leaving the Royal Navy, Boston hired me with no previous turbine experience, putting me through all my courses from GWO’s to technical training and that’s led to fantastic work opportunities such as pre-assembly for MHI vestas in both Belfast and Vlissingen as well as the servicing of Siemens turbines in the North Sea at Greater Gabbard wind farm. I highly recommend Boston as employer to other wind turbine techs.
Shaun -Turbine Technician
Boston Energy provided me with an opportunity to get into the wind industry having been made redundant as an Engineer in Hull. Boston Energy brought me into the team and provided all the necessary training courses to move into the wind industry, which is something I could not afford to do myself due to the cost of the courses. In the last 3 years, I have worked on Sheringham Shoal, Gwynt-y-Mor, Westermost Rough and Lincs wind farms, and during this time period, Boston Energy supported me to enable me to gain my Competent Technician Status. Boston Energy’s ability to supply projects and work opportunities have helped build my skills and knowledge within the industry along with a good salary and job security. I can highly recommend Boston Energy to anyone thinking of getting into the renewables industry as well as other technicians.
